Located in the heart of the Minneapolis Mill District, Canopy by Hilton opened in February 2019 through a collaboration with Sherman Associates and DLR Group. Formerly the historic Thresher Square Building, the $6.5 million transformation preserved the landmark’s warehouse character while introducing modern comfort and hospitality.
The hotel features 183 guest rooms, a lounge and bar, flexible meeting spaces, and nine offices for hotel staff. The design blends warm, industrial elements with contemporary finishes — creating an inviting, home-away-from-home atmosphere that honors the building’s roots.
