The Hotel Zamora on St. Pete Beach in Florida is a beautiful Mediterranean style property. In 2022 Sherman Associates purchased the hotel as part of their growing hospitality portfolio. For over 40 years, Sherman, based in Minneapolis has been known for their vision-oriented approach to development. One of their core principles is to bring innovative solutions to all they do. The Hotel Zamora was no exception.
Sherman worked with design firm DLR, and Aurora for the interiors. “Our previous experiences with Aurora have all been exemplary, so no RFP was necessary. We made the right choice. All the product was custom so there was a tremendous amount of synchronizing involved. They were our agent, taking the lead on legwork, options, and solutions for a successful outcome.”
Bethany Qvale was the Account Executive at Aurora managing The Hotel Zamora project. Her team was tasked with providing FF&E for the lobby, guestrooms, corridors, “get ready” suite and the pool deck. The project team was comprised of Sherman Associates in Minneapolis, DLR in Denver, and a property being installed in St. Pete with local installers.
